The Fines and Traffic Law Working Group aims to reduce the number of people who experience legal problems associated with fines, licence suspension and disqualifications, particularly young people and Aboriginal people affected by lack of alternative transport.

The Employment Law Services Working Group is focussed on strategies to address the demand for free employment law services in NSW.

The Domestic Violence Working Group has examined issues of cross sector collaboration and coordination amongst domestic violence services.

NLAF members, through the Prisoners Forum, are working towards addressing the legal needs of prisoners.

The RRR Working Group is examining strategies relating to recruitment and retention of lawyers in RRR NSW.

NLAF is undertaking work relating to improving access to legal information for newly arrived migrants and refugees.
PAst working groups
Past NLAF Working Groups have addressed issues relating to older persons, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities, Aboriginal communities and access to civil law services, legal ethics and conflict of interest.
