The issues that NLAF members considered included:

• Traffic law and fines – initiatives to address licence suspension for people at risk of social exclusion (in particular young people and Aboriginal communities with a lack of access to alternative transport)
• A coordinated legal response to disasters and emergencies
• Demand for employment law services
• Professional development initiatives for lawyers in rural regional and remote (RRR) NSW
• Access to legal services and legal information for prisoners
• Legal information for newly arrived migrants and refugees
