National Bulk Debt Project continues

> Back to previous page

The National Bulk Debt Project is helping vulnerable Australians on very low (or no) incomes to ensure they can use their income for food, shelter and household bills by negotiating bulk waivers.

Collection of information on debts will take place from -10 July 2012 to 10 August 2012. Relevant debts are debts owed to certain debt collectors, credit providers and utilities.  In this round, negotiations will take place in relation to debts owed to the Commonwealth Bank and Westpac.

Financial counsellors, State Trustees, legal aid lawyers or community legal centre lawyers can assist their clients who are eligible to lodge with the National Bulk Debt Project by registering and submitting their debts.

For more information see the National Bulk Debt Website www.bulkdebt.org.
